Welcome to our nursery division called Sassafras Farms. In 2009, we formed a tremendous partnership with NTEC (Niagara Training & Employment Agency); a non-profit organization located in Port Robinson, which empowers people with special needs to participate more fully in community life.

NTEC's Greenhouse Growing Program is one of Niagara's most important sources of opportunity for adults with special needs. As part of this sustainable employment and life skills oriented program, we grow our own nursery stock with the help of persons with special needs and disabilities. The program provides the people we support with considerable expertise in the areas of potting, planting, packing, and shipping.

Plants can be picked up at our greenhouses from spring thru fall at the 270 Humberstone Road location. We are pleased to offer a wide variety of plant material available for purchase:

	Ornamental Grasses

PLANT NATIVE!!!
We are proud to offer an entire selection of native species (perennials, shrubs & trees). We are one of the few greenhouses in Niagara dedicated to increasing the usage of native Carolinian species in plantings across the Region. Carolinian species are native to Niagara & provide important habitat for our native insects, birds & wildlife. They are also much hardier, more tolerant & drought resistant.
